Pathologic complete response can be used as a prognostic factor for clinical outcomes in soft tissue sarcoma patients

Combined long-term survival results from nonrandomized phase II trial NRG Oncology RTOG 0630 and the ancillary analysis of the combined NRG-RTOG 0630/9514 trials indicate that pathologic complete response (pCR) is associated with improved survival outcomes for patients with localized soft tissue sarcoma (STS) who receive preoperative chemoradiotherapy or radiotherapy.

Trabectedin may be better than dacarbazine for treatment of soft tissue sarcoma

Janssen Research & Development, LLC announced data from the Phase 3 multicenter study SAR3007, which demonstrated a significant improvement in progression-free survival with trabectedin (YONDELIS®) compared to dacarbazine in patients with advanced liposarcoma (LPS) or leiomyosarcoma (LMS) previously treated with an anthracycline and at least one additional chemotherapy regimen.

Eisai Phase 3 trial of eribulin meets primary endpoint in patients with advanced soft tissue sarcoma

Johnson & Johnson today announced sales of $18.3 billion for the fourth quarter of 2014, a decrease of 0.6% as compared to the fourth quarter of 2013. Operational results increased 3.9% and the negative impact of currency was 4.5%. Domestic sales increased 7.4%.
