David Schwedel confirmed today that DAS Family Holdings, LP has invested approximately $4 million in Medical Technologies Unlimited, Inc., a developer of advanced medical devices.

“We will look to continue to increase our interest in Med-Tek as the company enters the roll-out phase of its business,” said Schwedel.

Medical Technologies Unlimited, Inc. plans to have the latest version of its device ready during 2010 for a phased national roll out. Med-Tek is working closely with nationally recognized industry participants within the healthcare industry.

“The company is well positioned at this point in time” Schwedel said further.

Med-Tek manufactures leading technology-based solutions for the objective assessment of soft tissue injuries (STI) and repetitive stress injuries (RSI), such as back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, whiplash, fibromyalgia and others. The company's proprietary medical technology solution – Comprehensive Neuromuscular Profiler – provides physicians with an evidence-based tool to better diagnose the existence, type, severity and acuity of STIs.
