CCGMP’s new interactive website launched

29. October 2009 01:20

Content Data Solutions, developers of publishing software, systems integration, and pre-press solutions, and Castle Connolly Graduate Medical Publishing (CCGMP) are pleased to announce the launch of CCGMP’s new interactive website which brings Castle Connolly Graduate’s Medical Board Review Manuals and interactive study tools online.

Changes in medical education funding forced CCGMP to alter its business model. To maintain free access for all U.S. senior residents and fellows, CCGMP decided to go online with its entire catalog; creating new revenue streams by changing from a single-commercial sponsor model to an advertising-supported model.

Content Data Solutions was chosen as CCGMP’s technology vendor, and in three months worked collaboratively on the website design, digitized the content of 18 specific medical specialty publications and associated study tools, and integrated the content into a newly designed e-commerce-enabled website.

“As a print publisher with no e-commerce background, I was looking for conceptual guidance and a breadth of experience as much as technical excellence in e-publishing and web design. Content DSI fit that bill from day one and had no equal with their customer service and instantaneous responsiveness. I felt from the outset that no matter how many other clients they had, my company’s needs would be the subject of intense focus and I was not mistaken,” stated Michael D. Wolf, Ph.D., Executive Vice President of CCGMP.
