Emerging Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EHSI) disclosed today that the Company has just favorably completed the financial review phase of due diligence with Stand-By Systems. EHSI recently executed an option with Stand-By Systems; owner of the new FDA approved SBS 1615 catalytic oxygen generator, as well as the associated LIFEDGE® and MAYDAY® emergency systems. EHSI is currently performing due diligence under this option.
“The new possible arrangement with Emerging Healthcare Solutions could speed our products to market”
The remarkable new SBS 1615 catalytic oxygen generator provides medical grade USP oxygen at the push of a button from self-contained inert dry compounds. Stand-By Systems intends to make this portable personal life-saving device (smaller than the size of a soft drink can) become as common in everyday life as smoke detectors, first-aid kits and household fire extinguishers.
"The new possible arrangement with Emerging Healthcare Solutions could speed our products to market," said Ken Palmer, Founder and Chairman of Stand-By Systems. "The due diligence process with EHSI, to this point, has been very encouraging."
According to the American Heart Association, 87.5 million Americans are at risk of heart attack or stroke with the critical need for oxygen even before 911/EMS can respond. Stand-By System's research leads them to believe that the critical-need domestic market could translate into $17 billion sales potential at gross margins exceeding 65%.
Emerging Healthcare Solutions focuses on the development of profitable emerging medical technology, a sector that also includes IDEXX Laboratories Inc. (NASDAQ:IDXX), Myriad Genetics Inc. (NASDAQ:MYGN), Immucor Inc. (NASDAQ:BLUD) and Mylan Inc. (NYSE:MYL).
