GE Healthcare Canada, the first in its
class to complete the Infoway certification process, continues to demonstrate leadership with the
announcement of Infoway certification for a second diagnostic imaging product, the Centricity™ Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS).
"I congratulate GE Healthcare Canada for the successful certification of
its PACS system, which dovetails with its Infoway-certified DI-r Diagnostic Imaging System," said Richard Alvarez, President and CEO, Canada Health Infoway (Infoway). "Digital diagnostic imaging has already played a role in generating
significant improvements in access and efficiency, with further gains
possible as interoperability increases and implementations mature."
"Receiving a second Canada Health Infoway certification, this time for
our high performance Centricity™ PACS solution platform, represents our
commitment to our customers, so they can better connect and collaborate
to provide better patient care across the country as well as be assured
that their PACS system investment is meeting Infoway's high standards for interoperability, privacy and security," said Mike
Clarke, General Manager of GE Healthcare IT, Canada.
