Hi Bonnie: I too switched from Armour (which I had been taking for 1 + year) and suddenly on Sept 3, 2009, when I wanted to refill my Armour, I was told they are not available. I was puzzled but did not think much about it so I went to my doctor and he had no choice but to prescribe Levothyroxine. I took it on Sept 3, 2009, and today is Nov 1, 2009, and I have been depressed 2 weeks after I started taking Levothyroxine. I feel hopeless, I have no energy, I cannot sleep and I feel paranoid and agitated. I wish I can sue the manufacturer too.

Had I known I would rather stopped taking any thyroid pills until Armour comes back.

The bad thing was the depression did not hit until approximately 2 weeks after I started taking Levothyroxine.

What's up with all the greedy doctors supporting Synthroid at the expense of our health and mind?
