Embryogenesis is the process by which the embryo is formed and develops, until it develops into a fetus. It starts with the fertilization of the ovum (or egg) by sperm.

What is Embryogenesis?

Human embryogenesis is a complex process that occurs during the first eight weeks after fertilization. The stages of embryogenesis are described in more detail below.
