The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today approved the first generic version of Flomax Capsules 0.4 mg (tamsulosin hydrochloride) to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition in which an enlarged prostate gland causes problems with urination.

Clinical research study conducted for patients with IC/PBS

A clinical research study is being conducted for patients with Interstitial Cystitis/Painful Bladder Syndrome (IC/PBS), a chronic bladder disorder characterized by intense pelvic pain, urinary frequency-urgency, and pain during sexual intimacy (www.PainfulBladderStudy.org). It is estimated that as many as 1.3 million people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with this disease and many more remain undiagnosed.

Glucose can aid in preventing low sodium levels in patients undergoing prostate surgery

In men undergoing prostate surgery, excessive fluid absorption can lead to dangerously low sodium levels.
