Team-based care and medical homes may improve chronic disease management

Patients whose hypertension is managed by a physician-pharmacist team have lower blood pressure levels and are more likely to reach goals for blood pressure control than those treated without this collaborative approach, according to a report in the November 23 issue of Archives of Internal Medicine, one of the JAMA/Archives journals.

SunLink Health Systems, Inc. today announced earnings from continuing operations for its fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2009 of $549,000, or $0.07 per fully diluted share, compared to a loss from continuing operations of $603,000, or $0.08 per fully diluted share, for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.
