Novo Nordisk introduces NovoRapid PumpCart insulin pump

Today, Novo Nordisk launches NovoRapid PumpCart, the first prefilled pump cartridge with an insulin analogue that has been specifically designed for insulin pumps. This new treatment solution, which contains NovoRapid (insulin aspart) – a rapid-acting insulin from Novo Nordisk – is expected to make insulin pump therapy more convenient for people with diabetes and their care staff.

EC approves INVOKANA (canagliflozin) medication for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Janssen-Cilag International NV announced today that the European Commission has approved INVOKANA (canagliflozin) in the European Union for the treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, to improve glycaemic control[1]. Canagliflozin is an oral, once-daily medication, which belongs to a new class of medications called sodium glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors.
