NCCN, SNM enter cancer imaging research collaboration

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network- (NCCN-), and the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) are pleased to announce a collaboration to advance research for cancer imaging and therapies. Specifically, NCCN will work with SNM to qualify imaging sites for upcoming research projects utilizing molecular imaging in clinical trials.

Sectra receives strategic order from Trillium for MicroDose Mammography system

Trillium Radiology Associates, which operates private diagnostic imaging facilities in Toronto and Mississauga, has invested in four digital mammography systems from the IT and medical technology company Sectra. The system was sold by Xtron Imaging Inc., Sectra's new distribution partner for Canada.

Researchers use qMRI to confirm effect of CS treatment in patients with OA

A group of Canadian researchers led by Prof. Jean-Pierre Pelletier, Head of the Osteoarthritis Research Unit at the University of Montreal Hospital Research Centre, published a clinical trial in which they confirm, for the first time using quantitative Magnetic Resonance Imaging, the disease modifying effects of chondroitin sulphate, a symptomatic slow acting drug for osteoarthritis.
