Unique is the ability to recall a particular contrast method with an objective, i.e., the system can recall DIC in combination with 63x magnification, which provides reproducibility.

The Leica SmartTouch touchscreen or free programmable function buttons located behind the focus knobs controls the microscope conveniently and intuitively. Additional programmable function buttons are located on the well-known Leica SmartMove remote control and on the external Leica STP6000 SmartTouch Panel control.
Constant Color Intensity Control (CCIC)
The Leica‘s unique and patented CCIC maintains the color temperature at a constant 3200 K when the lamp voltage is changed - the white balance that is normally required for digital camera use is now a thing of a past.
