The hand-held, cordless homogenizer from SP Scientific effectively homogenizes cells, tissues, and precipitates. It includes a simple push-in/pull-out pestle exchange and is well suited for faster, complete processing of a single sample to many numbers of samples.
Matching microtubes and pestle tips can be utilized either with hand processing or with the homogenizer.
- Tubes have bottoms that are 25% thicker than that of industry standards to guarantee integrity during use.
- Tubes and pestles are resistant to heat and chemicals and are also colorant-free to prevent heavy metals from potentially leaching into the samples.
- Each tube features frosted side and cap surfaces for labeling purposes, as well as a pierceable top and a positive seal “snap-cap” design that ensures optimal functionality.
- Tubes and pestles ensure tight tolerances and also complete homogenization and grinding of materials, enabling re-suspension or reconstitution of pellets with optimal efficiency.
- A special ribbed shaft in the pestles enables accurate finger control of homogenization for samples that are sensitive to shear; pestles are also compatible with a majority of the motorized mixer adapters.
- The homogenizer is available as individually wrapped pestles and tubes and packed in resealable bags of 100 each, or bulk packed in a resealable bag with an extra heat-seal over the typical closure, indicating whether the package has been opened or not.
- Produced and packaged in a class 10,000 cleanroom; tubes and pestles are certified RNase, DNase, and Pyrogen-free, and composed of animal and phthalate/phthalate-ester-free polypropylene with material traceability and lot control.
