Moisture Analyzers for Quick Determination of Moisture Content

The MA X2 moisture analyzers available from Radwag are advanced measuring instruments that allow rapid determination of dry mass content, relative moisture content, and other parameters in samples of various substances.

The MA.X2.A range includes a novel system—the drying chamber can be closed and opened automatically through proximity or button sensors.

This solution helps in:

  • Eliminating any shocks induced by manual closing of the chamber—the chamber closes automatically, with the same level of intensity all the time
  • Keeping the moisture analyzer clean—operators do not have to touch the housing of the moisture analyzer
  • Enhancing the automation of the drying process
  • Improving operation ergonomics
  • Improving operational safety by avoiding contact with hot components of the drying chamber
  • Realizing high repeatability of closing and opening of the drying chamber

The MA.X2.A series includes an easy-to-use color touchscreen. The control panel can be easily configured using programmable labels, hotkeys, and customizable information fields. The drying process can be performed for any temperature range, and with the help of databases, a specific drying process can be set up for a particular product.

Highlights of the X2 Series Moisture Analyzers

  • Modern interface
  • The drying chamber can be opened and closed automatically
  • A 5″ capacitive color touchpad
  • Programmable display
  • Easy, intuitive operation
  • Work optimization through the use of halogen lamps
  • Customized and repeatable applications
  • GMP/GLP printout-reports
  • Drying profiles (mild, standard, step, and fast)

The highest capacity of the MA.X2.A series ranges from 50 g/0.1 mg to 210 g/0.1 mg. The moisture content is quantified with an accuracy of 0.01% (0.001% for samples larger than 1.5 g). The highest drying temperature is 160 °C (an optional moisture analyzer is available with a maximum temperature of 250 °C).

A water vapor permeability determination set is another element that improves the functionality of the moisture analyzers. It is utilized in the tanning industry to determine the hygienic properties of leather.

Databases

The X2 series moisture analyzers include an information system that is based on six databases. This enables a majority of the users to operate a product database containing a number of samples. The acquired measurements can be subjected to further analysis.

The collected data is registered in six databases:

  • Products (up to 5000 products)
  • Users (up to 10 users)
  • Customers (up to 100 customers)
  • Drying process reports (up to 5000 drying process reports)
  • Drying programs (up to 200 drying programs)
  • Packagings (up to 100 packagings)

Through a USB interface, any results of users’ work (databases, reports, and measurements) can be rapidly transferred and copied to a PC or other moisture analyzer. Remote access to moisture analyzer enables online data management.

Cooperation with E2R also enables external data management, which consequently improves the results and efficiency to a large extent.
