The SMART 6 ProFat combines microwave moisture measurement with data modeling analysis. This enables it to quickly analyze turkey meat, chicken, pork and beef with high levels of accuracy and precision.
The rapid analysis can also be used to ensure least cost formulation, release materials and to make food corrections. It can also be used to verify and maintain the performance of NIR or X-Ray devices.
The system uses an official AOAC method to rapidly measure the moisture content. It also utilizes a simple curve fitting program to enable it to provide the best estimate of protein and fat content. Its’ performance is comparable to standard oven drying and fat extraction methods.
