Works with all ventilators
It is possible to connect TestChest® to any type of ventilator for mask ventilation and intubated patients. Recruitment, pressure-volume maneuvers, PEEP adjustment, expiratory trigger sensitivity, volume control, assist control, pressure control, PAV, SIMV, adjustment, ASV, PRVC, CPAP, PSV, APRV, Intellivent, and all other modalities are possible.

Creates outcome
Whatever the users set as a patient, the treatment result offered by the student will show on arterial oxygen saturation, lung volume, airway pressures, end-tidal CO2, and more. The result is not made by the operator but by the interaction between TestChest® and student, reproducibly and in real time.
It is possible to ensure new forms of interactive learning: submit the same case to different students and let them compete on outcome in a safe environment.

Operator control panel
The basic operator panel offers the selection of the pre-configured patients and the degree of breathing activity. Modifications from ARDS to airway obstruction and all concomitant physiological modifications can be performed with just a click of the button. Instantaneous activity can be added if required, for example, putting a patient to sleep or waking them up.
Users can easily extend the choice of patients and program their own patient library by just clicking on “More” (password protected). Additional information is offered in the Operator’s Manual. The BasicSoftware was developed by AQAI GmbH, Mainz, Germany; TestChest® and the Organis logo are registered trademarks of Organis GmbH, Landquart, Switzerland.

Robust design
Two rubber bellows housed in a metal sheet enclosure are powered by a linear motor that can generate pressures higher than 100 mbar. The lung assembly is guided by two steel rods and driven by two separate power supply modules. Swiss Quality reliability and ultra-low maintenance secure the investment of users.

Compatible with full-size mannequins
TestChest® changes any existing mannequin into a physiological lung simulator, thanks to an airway opening that can be fitted to any single head device or mannequin. Users can utilize the combined features of mannequins and the excellent physiology of TestChest®.
