Sottotipi di diabete mellito

Il diabete mellito (DM) è un gruppo di disordini metabolici che causano le alte glicemie continue. Nel passato, soltanto due tipi di diabete sono stati conosciuti, tipo 1 e tipo - 2. Il diabete gestazionale è un terzo tipo che si presenta soltanto durante la gravidanza. Ora, il dm è stato ristrutturato in cinque sottotipi.
