Que é um Tracheotomy?

Um tracheotomy é um procedimento cirúrgico que crie uma abertura na traqueia de uma incisão na parte de trás do pescoço para a instalação de uma câmara de ar de respiração. Isto permite o paciente de respirar sem o uso do nariz ou da boca, que são úteis quando as vias respiratórias superiores são obstruídas.
