Leading Chinese companies place orders for Bruker's FT-NIR spectrometers

Bruker Corporation (NASDAQ: BRKR) today announced that it recently has received two significant orders of TANGO and MATRIX-I FT-NIR (Fourier transform near infrared) spectrometers from leading animal nutrition companies in the People's Republic of China.

The agricultural high-tech company Da Bei Nong Science and Technology Group (DBN), a leading feed and seed products manufacturer, has ordered 25 TANGO spectrometers for the analysis of raw materials and finished products in their production bases all over China. DBN recognized the benefits of FT-NIR technology and the added value provided by Bruker's TANGO systems, which are known for their ease of use, high quality and robust design. Implementing TANGO systems into a centrally managed network of analyzers provides significant efficiency improvements for DBN.

New Hope Liuhe Group, the largest feed producer in China, placed a single order for 23 MATRIX-I FT-NIR spectrometers to complement over 60 existing Bruker Optics spectrometers, which are already operating successfully in a large analysis network in Liuhe's production facilities.

Jiyuan Guo, QC general manager of New Hope Liuhe Co. Ltd., commented: "NIR is facing rapid adoption in China, and we are already active in this area for many years now and enjoy the benefits of NIR technology. At this time, 67 Bruker NIR analyzers are already running inside New Hope Liuhe Co. Ltd. By integrating the new order, the number of installed instruments will reach 90 units. In the past it has not been easy to manage so many NIR analyzers, but thanks to the high quality of Bruker equipment plus its implementation into a complete analyzer network, we will realize an easy way to manage this technology, providing us with reliable analysis results for our operations all over China."

Urban Faeh, President of the Bruker Optics division, commented: "We are delighted that the applied markets appreciate our concepts of easy-to-use, networked analysers targeted at routine applications and quality control in the feed industry and other applications. We are pleased to be working closely with the New Hope Lihue Group as well as with the DBN Group on integrated FT-NIR solutions to meet their high standards and to enable them to achieve their quality and productivity goals."
