Next-Generation Sequencing Kits for Library Preparation with the Illumina

At least 0.2 ng of DNA is required to build a library.

Each sequencing kit comprises of a full set of reagents optimized for constructing a DNA library in order to carry out next generation sequencing with an Illumina® sequencer. These kits may be used for applications such as genomic DNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, MeDIP/hMeDIP-Seq, bisulfite-Seq or targeted re-sequencing.

The Abcam range of products is given below:

High-Sensitivity DNA Library Preparation kit (ab185905)

This allows the researcher to build libraries using 0.2 ng or more of DNA input.

The time required for the protocol to be performed is 1.5 hours.

DNA Library Preparation kit (ab185903)

This kit can be used with DNA inputs between 5 ng to 1 ug.

The time required for the protocol to be performed is 2.5 hours.

Post-Bisulfite DNA Library Preparation Kit (ab185906)

With this kit, a library can be built with less than one nanogram of input DNA following bisulfite conversion.

The time taken for the protocol is 5 hours.
