A 2.2-mL square well 'U' bottom plate (2.2S96-013U) now offered by Irish Life Sciences has been particularly developed to enable the base of the well to be in contact with heater-shaker blocks and thus improve the performance of the process.

Additionally, the plate manufactured in Irish Life Sciences’ class 8 cleanrooms in a medical-grade polymer will have a version available with notches on the sidewall for use on Kingfisher® platforms (2.2S96-013UKF)

This plate has been developed precisely to conform to the footprint dimensions defined by SLAS/ANSI standards. This guarantees its compatibility with both manual and automated sample handling systems, readers, and microplate washers.

The stacking features of the storage plate make it easy to use in plate and automation hotels. The plate is molded using an ISO Class 8 cleanroom, equipped with high levels of automation resulting in an economical and repeatable, high-quality product.

The 2.2-mL square-well 'U' bottom plate has been independently confirmed to be free from DNase, RNase, and pyrogen and is also highly sterile following irradiation processing.

A key benefit of the Irish Life Sciences 2.2-mL square-well 'U' bottom plate is that it has been molded in medical-grade polypropylene. This helps achieve very low concentrations of extractable elements and places it ahead of the deep well storage and collection plates from other competitors.

The medical-grade polymer used for the deep well storage and collection plates provides excellent resistance to chemicals and temperatures. This aspect allows these plates to be stored in a −80°C freezer for a long time and they can also be autoclaved at 121°C.

The clear alphanumeric well coding enables easy sample tracking. The 2.2-mL square-well 'U' bottom plate has been developed to have a flat, smooth surface to provide excellent sealing integrity with adhesive and heat seals.

Irish Life Sciences also offer a reusable silicone sealing mat to accommodate the 2.2- mL square-well 'U' bottom plate (SM420)

E-Beam sterilization technology is used for processing the deep well storage plates to deliver them as a sterile product. This prevents the discoloration of the polymer caused by Gamma sterilization. An independent laboratory screens the plates to confirm the sterility levels are achieved in accordance with the rigorous quality standards of Irish Life Sciences.
