HIMSS Analytics achieves Stage 6 status on EMR Adoption ModelSM

HIMSS Analytics announced University Hospitals in Cleveland has achieved Stage 6 status on the EMR Adoption ModelSM (EMRAM). As of January 2014, 12.7 percent - just 682 US hospitals - of the more than 5,400 U.S. hospitals tracked by HIMSS Analytics had reached Stage 6 on its Electronic Medical Record Adoption ModelSM (EMRAM).

A new study published in the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery finds that diaphragm pacing (DP) stimulation in spinal cord-injured patients is successful not only in weaning patients from mechanical ventilators but also in bridging patients to independent respiration, where they could breathe on their own without the aid of a ventilator or stimulation.

In March 2013, Eric Wagner told his wife to call 9-1-1 because he was feeling the worst that he had ever felt.
