Most common methods of delivery include the preferred non-invasive oral (through the mouth), nasal, pneumonial (inhalation), and rectal routes. Much research is now focussing on nanotechnology as a drug delivery method.

Phase I clinical trial results of AE37 in prostate cancer patients presented at EAU Congress

3M first-quarter worldwide sales up 25% to $6.3 billion

3M today reported first-quarter earnings of $1.29 per share on sales of $6.3 billion. Operating income margins were 22.8 percent, up 7 percentage points year-on-year. Sales and per-share earnings increased 24.7 percent and 74.3 percent, respectively, versus the first quarter of 2009.

European commission's FP7 programme allocated euro 6.10 billion

FDA grants NexMed clearance for HCC Phase 2 trial for PrevOnco

NexMed, Inc., a specialty CRO with a pipeline of products based on the NexACT® technology, today announced that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared the Company to proceed with the proposed Phase 2 trial of PrevOnco™, its proprietary cancer treatment for patients with advanced, unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), or liver cancer.
