Chronic fatigue syndrome (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) is a disorder that causes extreme long lasting fatigue that limits your ability to do ordinary daily activities. The cause of chronic fatigue syndrome is unknown. There is no cure for chronic fatigue syndrome so the goal of treatment is to improve symptoms. Medicines may treat pain, sleep disorders and other problems.
