PCR Machine

PCR-Machines are based on Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and produce copies of genes exponentially. The PCR cycling reactions are carried out in an automated thermocycler, which is capable of heating and cooling the reaction tubes in a short span of time. PCR-Machines are classified depending on the capacity of PCR used such as Nested PCR or Reverse Transcriptase PCR (RT-PCR ), or Multiplex RT PCR. PCR-machines are used for replication of DNA, detecting DNA sequences, carrying out DNA fingerprinting, forensic analysis, and molecular cloning, diagnosing genetic diseases, and detecting pathogens such as Hepatitis B and C viruses, Chlamydia trachomatis, HIV-1 causing AIDS, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, human papillomavirus, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and Cytomegalovirus and find application in research laboratories and clinical diagnostics.
