Chromatography Direct Ltd is an exclusive distributor for mass spectrometry and chromatography-related products and specializes in creating, developing and manufacturing its own branded consumables.
Chromatography Direct is located in the United Kingdom and functions through a network of OEM channels and distributors all around the world. The organization is a market leader in terms of developing high-quality consumables at unbeatable prices.
The history
Chromatography Direct was founded in 2013 by industry specialists from KRSS Ltd, who have more than eight decades of combined expertise in the mass spectrometry and chromatography markets. The company’s founders come from a variety of backgrounds, bringing with them a wealth of information, skills and experience.
Since its inception in 2013, Chromatography Direct has expanded year after year, and it continues to develop new analytical products.
Several clients attempted to combine their purchases of analytical consumables in the early 1990s, which looked to be a practical solution from a convenience standpoint. However, this strategy was not cost-effective.
Chromatography Direct saw a shift in the sector during the financial crisis in 2008. The company’s purpose when it was founded in 2013 was to have a system in place that dealt with today’s customers’ diverse purchasing preferences.
Chromatography Direct was able to do this by directly interacting with consumables producers rather than marketing firms. As a result, it was able to provide its customers with high-quality consumables at unbeatable pricing.

The setup
Chromatography Direct is based at a 5000-square-foot (500 m2) facility in Manor Park in Runcorn, Cheshire, and is closely associated with KRSS Ltd, which has a 16,000-square-foot facility (1600 m2). There are huge labs, warehouses, a conference room and offices in this building.
Chromatography Direct sells directly through its sister company, KRSS Europe BV, in Germany and Benelux, as well as through direct and indirect sales channels in the UK and international distributors.
Several of the company’s branded items are designed, manufactured and sold across the world. It also supplies additional consumables through exclusive collaborations in the UK, along with QuEChERS and UCT SPE.
Chromatography Direct has found the relationship with KRSS and its technological know-how to be extremely beneficial. This ensures a thorough knowledge of analytical tools, allowing the company to offer technological solutions to its customers.
