Zeus Sub-Lite-Wall® tubing is our family of thin-walled extrusions with wall thicknesses 0.005″ (0.127 mm) and below. Now, we have taken this technology even further with our PTFE Sub-Lite-Wall® StreamLiner™ series. With this product line, we extend our already best-in-class wall thickness to even thinner sizes for the most advanced catheter designs possible. Capitalizing on this technology, our Sub-Lite-Wall® StreamLiner™ XT tubing for catheter liners features a maximum wall thickness of 0.00075″ (0.01905 mm).

Featuring Zeus’ LoPro™ technology, Sub-Lite-Wall® StreamLiner™ XT offers the thinnest walls in the industry and carries all of the beneficial properties of PTFE. As a free extrusion, XT’s thinner walls allow greater flexibility yet still provide a stronger and tougher catheter liner. StreamLiner™ XT also results in a catheter with lower deployment force versus a dip coated process for whatever technology you chose to put through it. Additionally, Sub-Lite-Wall® StreamLiner™ XT provides an increased catheter lumen while effectively decreasing the overall profile of the finished catheter. With these enhancements, clinicians can now penetrate ever-smaller vasculatures using the latest micro-sized catheters. Zeus’ Sub-Lite-Wall® StreamLiner™ XT lets device engineers explore more advanced designs for endovascular delivery systems and continue to improve patient care.

Zeus customers know the quality and consistency of our Sub-Lite-Wall® line of extrusions from decades of successful implementation. Sub-Lite-Wall® StreamLiner™ XT brings all of the familiar functional properties of its predecessors for seamless acceptance. The next generation of catheter design and minimally invasive therapy delivery is here.

We offer standard Sub-Lite-Wall® StreamLiner™ XT inside diameter (ID) sizes of 0.013″ to 0.040″ (0.330 to 1.016 mm) with extensive customization available. This product can be continuously etched on the outside diameter (OD) or custom tip etched. We can also customize mechanical properties of Sub-Lite-Wall® StreamLiner™ XT such as tensile strength and elongation.

Zeus offers a higher level of customization and opportunity for our customer partners to explore new device design capabilities.

Applications

Catheter Liners – As a thin-walled liner, this product is perfect for the creation of micro-sized catheters for a range of delivery and application options.

Key Properties

  1. Biocompatible

PTFE has a long and proven history of safe use within the body. PTFE is USP Class VI certified.

  1. Chemical Resistance

PTFE’s fully fluorinated nature renders it inherently unreactive towards almost all commonly encountered chemicals and bodily fluids.

  1. Extremely Thin Wall Thickness

With maximum wall thicknesses of 0.00075″ (0.01905 mm), Zeus offers wall thicknesses that are among the thinnest available.

  1. Low Coefficient of Friction

PTFE has the lowest coefficient of friction of any polymer resin; this trait makes PTFE especially effective for micro-catheter design where lubricity and smoothness of surface are a necessity.

  1. Sterilizable

As a PTFE component, this product is sterilizable by ETO and autoclave (maximum working temperature of 260 °C / 500 °F).

  1. Tight Tolerances

Sub-Lite Wall® Streamliner™ XT standard ID tolerance is ± 0.0005″ (0.0127 mm).
