The NU-608 combines NuAire’s expertise in containment with its understanding of animal handing work to provide a cage dumping station that is safe, mobile, ergonomic, and durable enough for the vivarium.
The EC impeller creates a powerful 105 FPM (0,53 m/s) inflow to protect the user as they easily reach through the 14” (356mm) work access opening to dump refuse into a rectangular waste chute built into the stainless steel work surface. This work surface is easily raised for efficient replacement of the waste bag underneath.
The work zone is surrounded by cleanable and durable stainless-steel side walls and set on a telescoping base with castors that allows both easy movement and height adjustment to fit every technician. LED lights provide long lasting and efficient illumination in the work zone, and users can easily monitor cabinet performance through the Aeromax control system that visualizes pressure in the cabinet’s internal airflow plenum. A visual and audible alarm activates when parameters are unsafe.
