Use TissueFAXS Spectra for whole-slide multispectral imaging as well as high-end image analysis. This system allows the scanning of up to 8 markers in one run and thereby is an ideal solution for in-depth phenotyping. SPECTRA systems are available in 8-slide or slide loader-based configurations, for automated scanning of up to 120 standard sized slides.
TissueGnostics’ multispectral imaging technology is made possible by a liquid crystal tunable filter and powerful spectral unmixing algorithms. Liquid crystal tunable filters are optical filters that use electronically controlled liquid crystal elements to transmit a selectable wavelength range of light and exclude others. They can be tuned to specific wavelengths within the visible spectrum at high speed. This makes them ideal for a quick building of lambda stacks (spectral cubes), which are essential for spectral unmixing.
This technology allows the analysis of the tissue architecture, in-depth immunophenotyping, as well as exploring spatial relationships. The image below presents the visual difference between the original image on the left and the spectrally unmixed image on the right. The sample was stained for seven markers selected to decipher the immune microenvironment in an inflamed colon tissue.
