Thomson Healthcare has announced the next generation of its decision support tool, Medstat Advantage Suite 4.0(R), based on the leading technology platform in business intelligence.
The new release features service-oriented architecture, an application portal, improved production reporting, and dashboard reporting.

The new release introduces a modernized, open services-oriented architecture that allows integration of users' own data sources, reporting tools, and systems. In addition, the new release features improved production reporting, dashboard reporting, and a portal that accesses Thomson Healthcare applications and thought leadership as well customized reports and executive dashboards.
Service-oriented architecture allows users to more easily integrate various Thomson Healthcare applications and metadata within their own technical environment. They can marry their own data warehouses, systems, and reporting tools with Advantage Suite's service-oriented architecture, allowing easier access to information. -- Production reporting capabilities offer easier access to information for users' technical staffs, management, and customers through enhanced reporting and distribution capabilities. -- Dashboard reporting consolidates, aggregates, and arranges measurements and scorecards on a single screen in a graphical format so users can monitor information at a glance and identify key trends. -- Application portal allows access to Thomson Healthcare analytic and reporting applications through a single sign-on.
