NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Quantum Plastics, LLC (Quantum) is expanding its product line with the acquisition of the popular wheelchair stabilizing device company, Transfer Solutions.

Transfer Solutions is most well-known for its wheel chair stabilizing device, the Translock System. The Translock System is designed to assist a wheelchair user in the everyday tasks of transferring safely from the chair to a bed, shower or other application.

The Quantum Plastics Iowa location had been manufacturing the devices prior to purchasing Transfer Solutions and the account will remain at the Iowa location. According to Quantum Plastics General Manager, Bill Collins, "Our history with the part will help to make a smooth transition for Transfer Solution customers. We are looking forward to reinventing the brand and marketing of this necessary and life changing product."

This is not the first medical device that the Quantum Plastics company has manufactured. While Quantum provides parts for the appliance, automotive and packaging industries, it is also familiar with the medical and consumer industries and produces millions of parts annually to be used in hospital and other settings such as vials, sponge sticks and binders.
