1. John Thomas John Thomas United States says:

For a piece of "science," a lot of terms are thrown around very loosely here.   Like:

    >>>"There remains concern ... there will be a proportionate increase in the percent of the population meeting diagnostic criteria for cannabis use disorder."

Cannabis use disorder?  -  Is that what prohibitionists use now they can't get away with calling marijuana addictive, anymore?   -  Since science and widespread experience have shown marijuana has no significant harms, what are the consequences of "cannabis use disorder?"

Lets' not forget there are millions of medical marijuana patients who consume large quantities of marijuana daily.   -   We've heard no reports of any problems among these millions.   -   Does marijuana magically create problems just because the reason for consumption is not medical?

    >>>"...the use of state-licensed products as they may have greater influence on individual morbidity and social costs than the mere passage of medical marijuana laws."

Morbidity?  -  No significant harms means no morbidity.

Social costs?  -  What social costs?   No significant harms, no addiction, no significant cause of auto accidents, does not induce violence as does alcohol   --  There ARE NO social costs!

Even more misleading than these false terms is what is NOT addressed.   -   What happened to alcohol use rates in these areas of the small increase?   -   I'd bet a months salary they have come down and the small increase in marijuana consumption simply indicates a very HEALTHY switch.

This is clearly more of the same old junk science propaganda.

Every person who switches from addictive, very harmful alcohol to near harmless marijuana, improves their health tremendously - as well as the lives of their family and community.
