    From my personal experience, I believe that my own anxiety was moderated intentionally for at least two specific reasons: we can't allow ourselves to 'go there' - to allow our anxiety to blossom into a sickening revelation of what we fear as the next bad event or effect or the worst, the demise of our child; and two: because our child is looking at us a a sort of barometer of how they are doing during treatment or maintenance so we must try to be 'real' while being encouraging rather than allowing our anxiety to adversely impact or influence their well-being.
