What is odd about this article is that nowhere is the precept of the title explored in the text.

The article merely rolls out the same old same old indirect logic about inhalation and 'altered brain function' without addressing or presenting any research results directly examining the efficacy of using the substance in treating arthritis or rheumatism. It also goes so far as to repeat old reefer madness lies about depression, 'mental illness' and addiction.

In contrast, US Patent 6630507 titled “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants” is an NIH owned property describing the use of Cannabis in the treatment of serotonin imbalance.

Quote from the body of this patent:
“Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and HIV dementia.”

This article is ludicrous propaganda at best.
