    Government fraud investigators have access to all the information needed to fight fraud, including the names of physicians in the Medicare database. Providing individual physician claims data to the public will not help the government fight fraud. Making personal physician information publicly available also makes it easier for professional thieves who use physician identity theft to scam Medicare.
