    I think there would be problems with adults or older children whose attention is distracted by hormones (teenage boys are a classic but by no means the only example) or other factors not normally found in young children.  It would be difficult to sort out the "deficit of attention" issue from the "extreme distraction" of a traumatic memory, unsatisfied sex need, or any of the passions that adults are prone to.
