    There are various options that you can do.  You may have to do COBRA, but $800/month is not bad for many of us that are self employed and make decent money.  Don't try to overthink the future, it is like trying to time the stock market.  You won't win.  You can also look into "Health Share" organizations.  Much cheaper, but don't take smokers or allow pre-existing conditions the first year (50% coverage the second year).  Either way, don't let coverage lapse.
