Yep, this is what happens when a person is not supported, overworked and treated badly by just about everyone in their life. While friends, family and my spouse were enjoying their fun, happy and easy going lives I was struggling to work multiple jobs including one that was high stress in a cut throat industry with angry coworkers yelling at me almost daily, handle all the care of two special needs kids with no government help and little to no family support, having my oldest sons' school force him into a SPED program that didn't work for him, when I advocated for his needs I was treated nastily and retaliated against, I was forced by my spouse to work and treated like a housekeeper and baby sitter while he did whatever he wanted, ostracized by our community, mocked by his family and blamed, I got so sick with chronic infections and autoimmunity I lost functioning and even social and speech abilities. Now I am finally recovering, and my own family cannot seem to understand why I am still traumatized, depressed at times, hopeless, still get autoimmune attacks, why my immune system is depleted and I never heal from any of the chronic infections I had.  When you are in non stop stress at work, come home to children with physical and mental health issues and neurological disease and have to deal with that non stop stress, and nobody reaches out to help you and you are blamed for everything, then yes, you can just about die from stress.
