1. Phil Phil United States says:

OK, Cara, You don 't want a govt telling you what treatment you can have. I get that. Are you happy with big insurance telling you what treatment you can or can't have? Because that's exactly what's happening now. Big Insurance is canceling your insurance at the first sign of illness, or not enrolling you because of a pre-existing condition. And they are raising your rates to unaffordable extremes as you get older so you'll drop the coverage because you can't afford it. WAKE UP!!!

Your anger is understandable but totally misplaced. Big Insurance are the liars and cheaters, and they are scared to death of the public option because it is the ONLY thing that will force them to compete and lower their appalling costs, and ruin the gravy train that they've been on for years.

The myth that any govt program is inherently a failure is just that, a MYTH. While not perfect, Medicare works just fine, and has saved many lives. When you say "You People", exactly who are you referring to? The rest of us American citizens? I'm not rich either. I work hard for my money, and I'm sick of big medical corporations STEALING it from me along with my health,  with ridiculous costs and ridiculous conditions for receiving even the most basic care.
Do yourself a favor, stop getting your info from FOX news, and do some real research, and youll see that the public option works FOR you as well. Save your anti-immigration rants for the immigration reform argument, which is where it belongs. Not in the health care debate.
