My exact thought while reading through this. A question I have, did they test other NRT product users (those on the patch or on the gum). If no, this seems to be bias against e-cigs.... Then, after a bit of digging, I am also not seeing the findings of a control group. What is the outcome from the Urine tested from non-smokers/vapors/nicotine users? These people are assumed to be free and clear of the carcinogenic compounds within the bladder? I'll bet no...

  Yes, I also wondered about the lack of control group, and the small sample size along with the short period (6 mo) since cigarette cessation. It's interesting to see how different the research is coming out of Europe; the American bias against e-cigs is clear.
