I read your report with great interest as I have a grand daughter who was born with microphtlamia and coloboma.  After the initial shock and "grief" we came to terms with her condition and apart from her vision impairment she is a delight and developed "normally" and there are no other inherent problems.  My son and daughter in law have gone to see the genetic counsellors here in Sydney, Australia, but due to lack of government concern and funding could not help us to make an important decision on family planning.  Are there any other organisation in the World where we can seek help in this regard, i.e., get genetic testing so that they can plan to have another child without the risk of getting another child with the same problem.
