    Physician and nurses attitudes tend to infantalize us.  They assume if you are in a wheelchair, you are not married and cannot take care of yourself.  They push patients to get their spouses to provide physical care instead of the patient doing it themselves.  They need to educate themselves about the real lives we lead and not those fictionalized on TV
