Information/Advice for GSD 1a

My 17 month old son has GSD 1a, Was wodering if anyone with this disorder or knows anyone with this disorder is hard to draw blood from and also if they do not eat anything by mouth. Is this what is happening to others or should I be very concerned and seek additional medical advice??  If so, Please let me know.  Thanks Pam
