    The FDA banned Red Yeast Rice containing lovastatin because the FDA are nothing but a bunch of @#$%^ to the pharmaceutical industry.

    In case you didn't know, there is a revolving door from the FDA to the controlling administrative positions in the pharmaceutical companies.

    Red Yeast Rice has been used successfully for a thousand years in Chinese medicine.   The pharm. companies that came up with statins got them from a form of red yeast rice.

    The FDA does this all the time.   This is just another instance of their greedy corruption and the power that the drug companies wield in this country.
