1. Kevin Mulvina Kevin Mulvina Canada says:

Tobacco Control continues to be, and refuses to be any effort beyond, making the lives of smokers as miserable as possible. In effect the work of what are perceived to be bigots and hypocrites. It is the working of a shell game dealing with symptoms and pointing fingers at the victims, while the root of the problem is continually ignored. If tobacco kills we could expend at least some time or effort working to make tobacco safer such as supporting the tremendous reductions of histamines and carcinogens by flu curing methods demanded in future legislation.  Acceptance of e-cigs as a safer alternative to smoking and recognition of the fact that if alternatives such as patches and gum lessen the chances of quitting compared with quitting without them, they are indeed doing harm. There is a great deal of work to be done, beyond as this article suggests, cheer-leading the status qua as a lobby group, that operates within a government agency. TC ideas are stale and outdated while continually ever more De-humanizing. Putting yourself behind a label as a bigot I am sure is neither the place any one wants or will willingly accept. Unfortunately far too many proxies have been abused and used to aid a targeting of those in the lower socioeconomic community, with digressive punishments, knowing full well that the effect has been not cessation, but increased levels of poverty. Even calling for support of public officials while venturing so low as to having people evicted from public housing if they smoke. Mark my words, this will not go without consequence and all that has been gained, will be transformed, to mistrust of all the players at the table. The tide is turning don't get swept up in it.
