It is important to remember that there have been many studies done in the past that have shown promise in mice that do not necessarily translate into solutions for humans. While this study shows promise, it should not be billed as "The Cure".

We here at the Alzheimer's Research Association are a little tired of super claims and headlines that get our Caregivers all worked up and excited about something that needs years of work yet to still be done.

Every time and there have been many lately there is a new headline about a drug, or a therapy that will halt Alzheimer's disease we get thousands of e mails and calls from our Caregivers wanting more information on the particular "Cure" of the day.

Caregivers for Alzheimer's patients are the most overtaxed Caregivers that there are, and when we give false hope, it does nothing to but disappoint an already over worked group of people who dedicate their own lives to helping other people.

I am not saying don't publish accomplishments, I am saying we need to watch how we word such headlines.
