I was a part of the Rotary volunteer group of 25 orthopedicians, anesthesiologists, general surgeons and 6 volunteers from India from 3rd to 12th December 2012.  The team of doctors conducted 780 polio surgeries on 353 polio-afflicted children. The participation of Hon'ble Federal Health Minister, who is a Rotarian as also a ortho-surgeon, himself joined at University of Abuja Teching Hospital, to conduct one surgery as a noble gesture of his government's commitment to eradicate polio from Nigeria.  We are sure, with such dedicated political leadership with equally supportive Rotarians and medical staff, the dream would be realised soon. We wish Nigeria all success.
