    A few news articles have mentioned that the virus is being detected in sewerage, and they use the term "shedding" with the implication that there's no risk, as if what people are shedding is dead virus.

    Am I correct in understanding from your article that shedding actually refers to the body releasing the virus and that people could still become infected if they came in contact with the "shed" virus?
