Benefits of 4D-Lipidomics–clean MSMS spectra and highly reproducible CCS values

This video highlights how one of the main challenges in lipidomics can be addressed: Increased confidence in lipid identification

Trapped ion mobility separation (TIMS) separates co-eluting isobaric lipids and provides accurate and reproducible CCS values. Clean MS/MS spectra permit confident ID of isobaric lipids co-eluting in the LC domain. Characteristic CCS values enable confirmation of lipid structures using the machine learning based CCSPredict algorithm in MetaboScape.

In the accompanying Application Note “Using Parallel Accumulation Serial Fragmentation (PASEF) to speed up untargeted 4D lipidomics LC-MS/MS workflows” ( https://www.bruker.com/fileadmin/user...) you can learn how PASEF enables to increase the sample throughput using 4D lipid profiling by a factor of almost four.
