The TriZetto Group, Inc. today announced the general availability of its CareAdvance Enterprise® 4.6 system, the new version of the company’s health management platform for healthcare payer organizations. The CareAdvance Enterprise system is currently used by more than 20 payers covering over 30 million member lives.

Version 4.6 includes enhancements to case, disease, utilization and population management, all operating on a single health management platform. Flexibility, ease-of-use and increased system performance will enable payers to improve quality of care for their members, while reducing costs. Specifically, TriZetto has re-architected the CareAdvance system to speed care management workflow and advance how the product scales to customers’ operational and membership growth. The simplified architecture also helps streamline implementations and drives cost-efficiencies in maintenance and upgrades.

“The CareAdvance release 4.6 demonstrates TriZetto’s unique ability to evolve progressive and innovative technologies and provide our customers with long-term, industrial-strength, scalable solutions,” said Tony Bellomo, president of TriZetto. “TriZetto’s CareAdvance 4.6 platform is a comprehensive care management solution that provides healthcare payers with real-time member data to enable more personalized, effective and cost-efficient health management.”

“In the last two months, CareAdvance has successfully implemented five new customers, totaling more than a 1 million lives. This unprecedented growth validates the importance of health engagement solutions to our customers, as well as the strength of our product and services.” explained Joe Manheim, TriZetto’s senior vice president of care management and benefits administration. “CareAdvance is a cornerstone of our Integrated Healthcare Management strategy and we’re confident our investment in 4.6 will further benefit TriZetto customers.”

Integrated Healthcare Management (IHM) is the systematic application of processes, shared information and aligned incentives to optimize the coordination of benefits and care for the healthcare consumer. TriZetto’s technology products and services uniquely power IHM through the integration of core benefits administration, health management and constituent engagement to dramatically improve the affordability and quality of U.S. healthcare.

TriZetto’s CareAdvance Enterprise 4.6 system is differentiated as one of the only platforms to automate and support payers across the entire continuum of care—utilization, case, disease and population management—with the member at the center. Featuring an open architecture, the health engagement platform integrates with TriZetto, third-party and internally developed administration systems to help healthcare payers streamline their IT infrastructure and move toward IHM.

The Clinical CareAdvance® component of TriZetto’s CareAdvance Enterprise 4.6 system provides comprehensive health monitoring and reporting tools; provider and nurse-manager alerting; template-based, secure messaging between members and case managers; near real-time member identification and stratification; customized real-time statistics and reports; and outbound communication methods tailored to the member. The Personal CareAdvance® component enables members to review and contribute additional information about their current health activity and share it with care managers, providers, family and others. The application also gives members access to extensive, up-to-date multimedia health libraries, as well as personalized content.
